Malika (Ifanike Oyagbire Osheyo Amanzi) grew up on Anansi the Spider folktales. Anansi weaves stories in his web.

Sourced from the Ashanti Akan in Ghana, the Anansi stories are one aspect of West African culture that managed to remain intact through the Middle Passage.

With close to a decade of experience leading walking tours in New Orleans, it is our pleasure to serve as this generation’s griots. The art of storytelling goes beyond scene, plot, and characters, especially in New Orleans. You can feel the stories in the humidity, weighing down the air of the city. Sharing them with others is how we keep breathing.
